EWS Industrial underlines the natural assumption of rail freight's sustainability as a means of transporting goods from points of production to consumption. However, in line with Government thinking and the concerns of society, this natural assumption needs to be taken further by us to further improve our efficient use of resources. This policy creates a new ethos and promotes new practices for our employees to ensure that all services delivered contribute to the sustainability of society.

Doing nothing and resting on the laurels of the environmental credentials of rail freight is not an option for us. Our customers have choices, and we are presenting them with a company that will deliver significant benefits in freight haulage and a lowering of their carbon footprint. We are passionate about growing our services, but do not want growth to come at the expense of the environment. Nobody can ignore climate change and that is why EWS Industrial will work with customers to help reduce the size of their carbon footprint and other damaging emissions by using our services.
